In a blog post Wednesday morning, 505 Games’ Senior Brand Community Manager Antonela Pounder announced that Control, from Remedy Games, will be releasing an Ultimate Edition. Depending on your platform of choice, you could be playing it as early as this month.
What makes up the Control Ultimate Edition, for $39.99?
• Control base game
• The Foundation (Control’s first expansion)
• AWE (Control’s second expansion)
• Expeditions, Photo Mode, and all the updates that have been published since its original release
The game is also going to be available for the first time on Steam with the Ultimate Edition’s release on August 27th. The game will then come out digitally on September 10th for the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Physical copies will be pushed back towards the end of 2020 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Control will also be heading to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X thanks to the Ultimate Edition. Digitally, it’ll be out by the end of 2020, and physical copies will hopefully be on the shelves in early 2021. There will be a free upgrade path for those who purchase the Control Ultimate Edition on the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, but not the standard copy.
