Hades Wins Big at 2021 BAFTA Awards

Supergiant Games’ Hades took home the top prize this year at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Awards, was will as picking up wins for Game Design, Narrative, and Performer in a Supporting role for Logan Cunningham, who voiced Hades himself. (Fun fact: He also voiced Achilles, Asterius, Charon, Poseidon, and The Storyteller!)

Hades went into the night with eight nominations, third to The Last of Us Part II and Ghost of Tsushima.

The Last of Us Part II snagged three wins from its 13 nominations, for Animation, and Laura Bailey as Performer in a Leading Role for her portrayal as Abby. The Last of Us Part II also won the EE Game of the Year, which the public voted on.

The other big honors of the night included Sea of Thieves for Best Evolving Game, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales for Best Music, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons for Best Multiplayer Game and the Game Beyond Entertainment category. Siobhan Reddy, Studio Director at Media Molecule was presented with the BAFTA Fellowship, the highest honor that the Academy can bestow on someone.
