Deathloop Delayed to Mid-2021

Revealed at E3 2019 and given a Holiday 2020 release window just two months ago, Arkane’s Deathloop has been delayed to Summer 2021.

The change in release date was announced by the team on its official Twitter account, saying that making a “signature Arkane game” is still the goal. Another major priority is the “health and safety” of everyone at the studio, as they have shifted to work from home due to COVID-19.

They did promise an update soon on more details about the game, the last update being the following gameplay trailer released in June.

Deathloop takes you to the island of Blackreef. You play as Colt, and you must find a way to put an end to the time loop trapping the island and all its inhabitants, while you’re being hunted by said inhabitants. To end the loop, there are 8 targets around Blackreef you need to take out before the day resets.

Deathloop will launch in 2021 for the PlayStation 5 and PC. As of this writing, there’s been no word on a potential Xbox release.
