Why Games?

I love stories, and while I love pulling out a book and getting lost in the pages, video games can tell a story in a more engaging way because you're the one driving the story.

And honestly, I'm not a talented artist or coder. What I am, though, is someone who spent a decade educating people on what games have to offer and getting them excited for the latest releases - even those they didn't know they'd be excited for.

And I want to make that my career.

Why Me?

I've always loved games, and I've always loved writing, but working retail made me realize I love community and building a community of people who love games. (I also became a bit of a social media geek.)

Being a mom and spending eleven years in retail has prepared me for a role in the games industry - I have social and community experience, but I'm also a pro at multitasking, handling criticism, adjusting to things on the fly, customer service and working with a team. I love learning and working with people willing to teach.

All in all, Sam Fisher has nothing on me.

Whether it's through games journalism, community management or PR, I'm driven by my passion to leave my mark on the industry and leave it a better place for my son (a future Minecraft pro), and tell the stories of people who make and play games.
