After a Pair of Delays, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga to Launch in April

If you felt a disturbance in the Force on Thursday morning, millions of LEGO Star Wars fans cried out in glee as a release date for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga appeared in the wild.

All nine movies in the Skywalker saga will be playable in the game, and, unlike other LEGO games, players can start the game from any film and keep going in any order they want. A whopping 300 characters will be playable.

Announced officially at Microsoft’s E3 event in 2019, the game underwent two delays before Thursday’s announcement. A feature from Polygon, also released on Thursday, featured 20 current and former TT Games employees talking about the company’s crunch culture, development schedules, and management change in March 2020.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will release on April 5th for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series consoles.
