Fall Content Preview

(Please forgive that thumbnail.)

It’s August, so that means Fall is…almost here. (Though, if you look at my lawn, you’d say it was the beginning of October. But, another time for that.)

Fall means pumpkin spice everything, my favorite color everywhere, and GAMES! The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has pushed back some of the ones I’d been looking forward to this year, but, as I sat here and made a list, I realized that I’d still be plenty busy.

Going back to school for Communications; I really want my content to reflect what I’m learning, which is why I’m going to push myself to create so much content. The goal with this degree? Write for Game Informer. Or work for a studio that I admire. (Hello, That’s No Moon!)

I wanted to write about my content plans this Fall to give myself a list of things I want to do, (and a way to hold myself accountable, really). I’m a big fan of making lists.

(Also, I plan on giving this site a facelift soon! I’ve used this same template for about three years now – and I’m bored. I found a template, though, that has this awesome builder inside of it, so I feel like that won’t be a problem anymore.)

August

I’ve been so excited to play 12 Minutes, so I’m excited to make some content for it. It comes out on August 19th, so the plan is to play as much as I can on Thursday and Friday, that way I can (hopefully) finish it and write a review. If the review doesn’t happen, I will DEFINITELY be writing a piece with my impressions on it.

(The game has Daisy Ridley, James McAvoy, and Willem Dafoe. I feel like too many people are going to sleep on it, though. I hope I’m wrong.

September

This is going to be the month that’s the most jam-packed. Life is Strange: True Colors releases on September 10th along with Lost in Random. I’d love to put up a full review for both, but I’m prioritizing Life is Strange in that department.

I’ll still be writing about Lost in Random, but I’ve told myself that might not happen in September, as much as I’d like it to. School will be in full swing while all this is happening.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits should also be releasing in September. (As of this writing, Ember Lab pushed the game from its August 24th release to September 23rd.) Kena will be an impressions piece; like “My First Three Hours with Kena: Bridge of Spirits.” (Or something like that.)

October

I’m excited for the next entry in The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes. If it’s the same length as the other two games, this one should be an easy stream. If October doesn’t have me swamped with schoolwork, I’ll hopefully do a review.

The game I’ll be focusing on for review will be Guardians of the Galaxy. I think I won’t be streaming this one (music), but I’ll still capture video. (Yes, I know there will be a DMCA-safe mode, but I’m waaaay too big of a fan of the 80’s music that’s synonymous with the Guardians aesthetic.)

November

November will be a catch-up month, getting any content done that I haven’t been able to finish/putting new ideas into place. And school of course!

It’s going to be a great Fall, everyone!
